Overview
Astra's bulk ordering platform was created to support businesses and operational teams purchasing batteries at scale. The project focused on simplifying product discovery, improving order management, and creating an efficient purchasing experience for users handling large-volume transactions.
Problem
The existing purchasing flow was primarily optimized for single-item transactions, making it cumbersome for users placing bulk orders. Navigating extensive product catalogues and coordinating larger purchases introduced unnecessary friction and slowed decision-making.
Process
The design process began with reviewing existing catalogue structures and analysing user journeys for bulk purchasing scenarios. From there, wireframes and interface concepts were developed to prioritise product discoverability, clear hierarchy, and scalable layouts. Every interaction was refined to help users browse, compare, and order efficiently without feeling overwhelmed.
Challenge
One of the biggest challenges was presenting a large catalogue of products while maintaining a clean and intuitive interface. The solution focused on organising information in digestible layers, allowing users to quickly identify relevant products and complete purchasing tasks with confidence.
Outcome
The final design delivered a structured and scalable bulk ordering flow tailored to business users. By improving navigation, clarifying product information, and streamlining key interactions, the platform supported faster purchasing decisions and a smoother overall ordering experience.
